Better than a trip to Alton Towers

14th October 2016

We had a fantastic visit from the Randwick School council last Friday.  We showed the children around the warehouse and chatted about why the Foodbank is needed.  They were especially interested in the reasons for people needing to visit the Foodbank and what goes into a food parcel.  They were very helpful, as they brought their harvest donation and labelled it, ready for sorting.  They also took away lots of up-to-date statistics to enable them to report back to the school.

As they were leaving, the children thanked us for letting them visit.  We asked if it was a good trip.  The reply from one of them? “Yes, better than a trip to Alton Towers!!”
