Role: Assistant Foodbank Manager
Location: Office based. Stroud, Gloucestershire
Salary: £22,500 – £25,000 pro rata
Hours: Part Time, 22.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days
Permanent/temporary: Permanent
Deadline: Monday 7th March 5pm
Stroud District Foodbank serves the people of the Stroud District by delivering emergency food and support to those in financial crisis. Our vision is to see an end to the poverty which drives people to need a foodbank. We currently provide help to over 5,000 people each year from our Stroud hub and through a network of local centres
We’ve created a new role and are now in search of an Assistant Manager to handle our PR & Communications and assist the Foodbank Manager with operational support.
You’ll be a self-starter looking for a fulfilling and rewarding role and be passionate about reducing food insecurity and helping reach those in food crisis.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to use their initiative to get things done, a can do attitude, an enthusiasm for working with volunteers and as part of a team, an empathetic and creative communicator, and someone with compassion for those affected by poverty.
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. In return we offer you the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team.
