Christmas Joy

‘One lady cried as she retold how she’d come home from a really rough day, the children had had a rubbish day at school and they didn’t know what they were going to eat that night. Then the neighbour knocked on the door to say they’d taken in a delivery for them while they were out – it was the Christmas food hamper – they were bowled over and euphoric with joy. What was a horrendous day, was turned into a good one. Those meals spoke volumes!

Half-term help

A family that was referred through a school received their food parcel on the Friday before half-term, the same day it was requested. The family said the food and toiletries were so generous that they didn’t have room in their cupboards for it all.

They love to cook, so because of the fabulous work you you this family can enjoy a decent meal again.

The Mum would have hugged the delivery driver if she’d been allowed, I think! She was honestly a different person standing in front of me – smiling and light-hearted.

Both parents work hard, on shifts and antisocial hours to manage childcare. It’s a difficult path especially on low wages, but you’ve paved it with food and toiletries for them – thank you.
